NMSU played Johnson County in Kirksville Saturday
and managed to avoid the thunderstorms.  County got
on the board first with a penalty between the posts.
However, the match was one-sided for most of the rest
of the match.  NMSU lead at halftime 26-3, and finished
leading 65-10, having conceded an late and deserved
try to County.

NMSU scored 11 tries.  Freshman rookie scrumhalf, 
Brian Lay, lead with three tries and freshman flanker
Brandon Hamberg and senior #8 Don LeMay had two
tries each.  Captain Brain Gilsinn, playing flyhalf instead
of his usual outside center, was good on 5/11 conver-
sions.

For NMSU this was a final preparation for the upcoming
Western Collegiate Championships in Houston, Apr 6-7.
