The Air Force Academy women's team beat Denver's Black Ice 
22-0 on Sat March 9th on a snow covered pitch at the AFA.
AF blew an early scoring opportunity three minutes into 
the match when wing Shalanda Baker knocked on in the try 
zone after a 40 meter run.  AF dominated possession and 
in the 17th minute on third phase ball wing Melissa 
Davidson went 25 meters and touched down for the first 
points of the day.  Marika Barto converted and AF led 7-0.
Tries by Baker and Abby Newcomb in the 24th and 31st minutes
put AF up 17-0 at the half.  The only score of the second 
half came on a beautiful 25 meter run by Barto who dished
to Davidson for the final 20 meters and the try for the final 
22-0 margin.  AFA was playing short four of their pack players 
due to injuries and military commitments and still dominated.
In the second game which AF played with only two subs and 
numerous players out of position, they lost to another Denver
club side, The Olde Girls, 17-8.
