The Harvard RFC capped a sensational day of rugby by
defeating defending champion Northeastern to capture the 
Beanpot tournament.  The Crimson jumped out to a quick 3-0
lead on an NU penalty.  The lead was shortlived however, as
Northeastern kicked for space and then put it in the try 
zone with some hard running.  The teams then traded tries
before the halftime whistle.  Harvard began the second half
with renewed intensity and quickly produced a try to go up
13-10.  The conversion made it a 5 point game.  The Crimson
continued its scoring push by adding a penalty goal midway
through the second half.  With about 10 minutes left in the
game Harvard drove a line out in from 15m to go up 23-10. 
The Mad Dogs from Northeastern were far from through as they
took the ensuing kick down for a quick try.  The Dogs again
received the ball and pushed deep into Crimson territory.  A
late goal line stand capped a 50 meter kick into touch 
preserved the win and the championship for the Crimson.
