Play went up and down the field with enterprising attacks by River's FH, FB and right W, but countered by Norfolk's defense and pounding forward play. One of the highlights was 18 year old Norfolk winger Chris Pace dragging a would-be sleeve tackler 15 meters for a try (the jersey sleeve finally came off!).
